Cheyenne Mountain

Course change for 2012. We mucked up last year! The race was indeed long, so we went and mapped with a handheld Garmin that pings the satellites every 30 seconds, a 405 Garmin, a Polar bike computer, and an iPhone 4S. Phew! Here are the readings respectively: 15.5, 15.7, 15.5, and 15.45. If someone out there can help me with making a better map for the course I would love the help! Clearly, I need help! The course is a scenic 25K loop course that begins on a wide open trail; it winds its way along the base and part way up Cheyenne Mountain. We calculated a total elevation gain of 4800' per lap! Runners will traverse several different types of terrain-small boulders, twisting, sloping, densely wooded, and wide open prairie-all well marked to keep you on course! Aid stations will be fully stocked with-Heed, Hammer Gel, pb&j sandwiches, Lay's Potato Chips, M&M's, and a menagerie of other goodies.
